Q. What is your opinion on the introduction of eco-chopsticks in the restaurant aiming at the reduction of the garbage? (SA)
Opinion on the introduction of eco-chopsticks in the restaurant (aiming at the reduction of garbage) N=320

44.7% of respondents stated that they value the introduction of eco-chopsticks in the restaurant and 33.1% answered that they value it very much. More than 70% of the respondents value the introduction of eco-chopsticks in the restaurant, while only 6.9% of respondents said that they don’t value the policy.

Among those who appreciate the introduction of eco-chopsticks, many of them gave a positive evaluation on the companies themselves which introduced eco-chopsticks appreciating their green action. Some respondents are anxious about the hygiene, but more than half of the respondents said that environmental issue is a top priority.

Whether they have trouble or are unhappy to use eco-chopsticks N=320

Two third of the respondents do not have any complaints about the use eco-chopsticks. The rest of the respondents (33.4%) answered that they are not quite satisfied with the use of eco-chopsticks. In the previous question slightly less than 80% answered that they value the introduction of eco-chopsticks, but the ratio of those who do not have any complaints about the use of eco-chopsticks is 66.6%. It turned out that about 10% value the introduction of eco-chopsticks but with some trouble. Some respondents are anxious about the hygiene, others says that the chopsticks are too slippery to pick up the foods.

Answers to this question imply that it is quite important to take a green action, but on the other hand people are anxious about the hygiene. Companies which wish to introduce eco-chopstick should not only take into account the environmental issue, but also they should be sensitive to consumers mind.
